Good news for all potential Ph.D. scholars, 1000 HEC Overseas Scholarships announced known as, “HEC US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Ph.D. Scholarship Program 2021”. These are Fully Funded US scholarships that will only be offered to the best US Universities. HEC sponsored these international scholarships for Pakistani students in 2021. The USA scholarships for Pakistani students in 2021 are open for Ph.D. degree Programs.
It’s a great chance to free study in the USA for Pakistani students. An understanding was established in 2015 between the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the US president through bilateral dialogue to establish a US-Pak knowledge corridor. HEC postgraduate scholarship will cover all the expenses as they are fully funded scholarships. These US Pakistan scholarships are open only for Pakistani nationals.
The duration of Ph.D. scholarships in the USA in 2021 is 5 years. According to the plan, 10,000 Pakistani Scholars will join Universities of the United States in the coming ten years. The HEC US-Pakistan Ph.D. scholarship will be divided into two categories. The details are given below.
- Category 1
The scholars securing admission in the universities of the given list will be granted the following benefits:
- Full tuition fee waiver
- Monthly Stipend
- Initial Settlement Award
- Health Insurance
- Return Air Ticket

This category addresses those students who will secure admission in US universities within QS ranked in 300. The students will get following benefits:
- Partial tuition fee (Negotiated Rate)
- Monthly Stipend
- Health Insurance
- Return Airfare
General Eligibility Criteria
- Only Scholars from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir
- The minimum educational requirement is 4 years of bachelors (4 years of BA/B.Sc/B.E of equivalent) or 16 years of formal education
- The upper age limit for the scholarship is 35 years on the application closing date
- Valid GRE/HEC HAT Score
- Valid IELTS/TOEFL
- Candidates from government sector Colleges/universities, R&D department will be considered upper age limit of 40 years.
