Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Scholarship Program 1 of KAAD, applicant must be eligible as the following criteria:
- Applicants must come from a developing country or emerging country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, or Latin America and are currently a national over there.
- Must hold a university degree and professional experience from the home country the applicant.
- Wish to pursue a post-doctoral research project (2-6 months for established university professors) at a German university or get a master’s degree or a Ph.D. at a German university
- Applicants must be devout Catholics (or generally belong to a Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions are eligible to apply if they are recommended by Catholic partners and can demonstrate their commitment to interfaith dialogue.
- Before starting the studies, Must possess German language skills.
To apply for the Scholarship Program 2 of KAAD, applicant must be eligible as the following criteria:
- Applicants must come from a developing country or emerging country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, or Latin America and are currently a national over there.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a German university and have been enrolled for at least 10 months.
- You wish to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree at a German university (applicants for master’s programs may present their documents as early as during the final semester of their bachelor’s programs).
- Applicants must be devout Catholics (or generally belong to a Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions are eligible to apply if they are recommended by Catholic partners and can demonstrate their commitment to interfaith dialogue.
- You possess German language skills.
To apply for the Eastern European Scholarship Program 2021, applicant must be eligible as the following criteria:
- Must be a national of a country in Middle-, East and Southeast-Europe, from Central Asia or a Caucasian Country.
- Good German language skills
- Applicants must be devout Catholics (or generally belong to a Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions are eligible to apply if they are recommended by Catholic partners and can demonstrate their commitment to interfaith dialogue.
